23 Mar “A Certain Smile” By Richard Schertzer
In this little music video – that is mixed with the language of video – called “A certain smile” by Richard Schertzer, there is a synthetic and simple language in the staging: the two newlyweds share the most important moment of their life, with a vintage music playing in the background from an old vinyl player.
The two of them are later portrayed sharing little pieces of life together and walking away to the horizon, in their new life.
It is a sweet video, with some moments that have a good taste in staging and directing. The quality of the final export is somehow low, maybe compromised by the upload, but overall it is a sweet video, made in a simple language that makes it work.
The thing we liked the most was the fact that it was hard to tell if the newlyweds were actors or not. This hybrid between documentary and fiction made the video interesting.
