26 Lug “Hailey” by Michael Dolha
It is very hard to find originality and writing inventions in thriller short films, but in this work by Michael Dolha called “Hailey”, the tension and the entertainment is really kept high by the great quality of the screenplay.
On an airplane, a hostess starts noticing a very strange behavior of a man with a small girl and tries to save her from what she believes to be a great danger. The game that the screenwriter plays with us is brilliant, because by keeping the truth out of the film really creates two different points of view on the story without giving us the chance to understand what is really happening.
Reality becomes subjective and the mind starts to bend all the facts to its liking to try to find an answer to all the questions raised by the film. Directed by a good pace and supported by great acting and editing, this thriller really works, showing how important a script is in a film.
