“Tequila Flavored Cigarettes” by Bobby McGruther

“Tequila Flavored Cigarettes” represents one of the best examples of independent cinema in recent years. Bobby McGruther manages to package a product with a great cinematographic value which, alongside a great stylistic taste, is able to give us an extremely engaging story. The film stages a complex and exciting story of growth and human relationships. The protagonists are in the midst of their youth and the film, with a nostalgic and sometimes bittersweet taste, seems a delicate tale of “twilight” formation in which it is possible to perceive the sweet sense of the past and the little things that inevitably change and end up changing everything .

The aesthetics, the cinematography and the directorial technique do not aim to amaze but, with sobriety and elegance, allow space for the actors and the beautiful screenplay. It is evident that behind “Tequila Flavored Cigarettes” there are authorial drives of great human depth. We hope to see a new Bobby McGruther movie soon.
