29 Ott “Warm Breeze” by Andrea Toy Bonvicini
“Warm Breeze” let us discover an author we want to keep an eye on. In this story, the mysterious protagonist wants to come to terms with his past and sets off on a journey of self-discovery, aided by two Masters he meets along the way.
The subject unfolds in a tight narrative regime, in which each character plays a crucial role. The real protagonist seems to be the ever-changing action, that dictates the progress of time.
The combination of different languages and atmospheres in a suggestive visual scenario contributes to the depth of this short film. In the sumptuous settings that frame the plot, enhanced to the maximum by the cinematographer Neil Andrew Cerullo, (already known for Capri Sunday) it is easy to get lost, thanks to the soundtrack that alone, without any dialogue, guides the viewer.
