«I am Hydra» by Thale Blix Fastvold

In the experimental short «I am Hydra» the Norwegian visual artist Thale Blix Fastvold creates a fascinating intersection where feminism and ecology, myth and Anthropocene, past and present converge.

The director reinterprets the theme of water as a life resource associated with birth, offering the perspective of a female figure as the symbolic seat of ever-changing energy, somehow exposed to erosion by the outside world.

This intense conceptual core, borrowed from the director’s long artistic research, is accompanied by a subtle yet extremely personal expressive garment, as hypnotic as a distant sound of waves.
