“Enigma – The Fallen Angel” is a film that captivates us with its subtle and disturbing charm, which runs throughout the film from start to finish. Anyway, the strong narrative capacity of this film does not preclude a deeper and more complex look at the human soul. In fact, this disturbing tale of drives, fears and anger is first of all a broad investigation into the instincts and suggestions that move our consciousness when it comes into contact with reality. For Abhay Thakur, director of the film, it is as if under the surface of everyday life, a more complex truth is constantly stirring, which binds life and death, reason and instinct and above all, binds each of us. In this continuous game of mirrors between exteriority and interiority, the visionary style of Thakur finds a way to flourish, courageously experimenting with numerous visual, original and spectacular ideas. The director’s visual language completes the script, expanding its meaning far beyond the limits of the word.
Despite these dizzying combinations of different styles and colors are not always able to achieve an aesthetic coherence, “Enigma” stands out for its strong identity and for a dynamic and engaging rhythm, which leaves all spectators satisfied. Excellent interpretation of all the actors.
