«Memento Mori» by Georgia Chioni

A young girl’s doubts about her love life will lead her to discover much deeper truths about her own destiny.

In her latest project “Memento Mori”, the award-winning director and stylist Georgia Chioni used the medium of film experimenting with fashion, cinema and symbolism, showing us how these three languages strongly influence each other, and reinterpreting in a contemporary key the classic tale of personification of ineluctable fate.

In this modern myth we see only archetypal female figures, capable at the same time of reassuring and arousing fear, above good and evil as fate is, somehow suggesting a particular link between femininity. and the search for a profound understanding of life, and an alternative representation of women.
